Kno Clothing
This past weekend I met up with Anthony and Stephen of Kno Clothing for some products shots of their 2011 Spring/Summer line. Myself and a few friends met up with Anthony and Stephen at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, along with four students from UPenn. We started out behind the museum on a rocky ledge overlooking the Schuylkill River. After we nailed down the product shots we headed into the city for some Chipotle and group shots. All in all I think we had a pretty good day. Below are the four models from UPenn. Keep an eye out for Kno Clothing’s work; you might spy some vintage edits of these guys in Kno Clothing’s lookbook pretty soon. Click through each photo for a large view on flickr.

Chiddy Bang and Lancaster, PA based band Kingsfoil performed at my college last night. I have quite a bit of photos to go through, but I thought this was decent enough to post while I sort through the rest. More to come later I’m sure.

Alriiiiiight. Been a bit of time since I got on here to update anything. I cut all my hair off this week. Went from a wooly lion to a..regular person. At least my hats stay on now.

[click through to flickr for a larger view]I also had the chance to do a senior session with my sister’s brother-in-law last weekend. It was a pretty fun shoot for me since I haven’t had too many of them this summer. We went to the local community college and got some nice shots for him.

[click through to flickr for a larger view]I really only put what I post to flickr on here. I’d like to change that, but I don’t know the point, as more people follow my flickr than follow my tumblr. I’m sure I will re-read this post more times than I get actual views. If you wan to reblog, or forward to friends, or do whatever you do on here, go for it. Lets see who can help me the most views.
If you really want to help me, you can also follow me on twitter (so we can live chat during the show (@danieltosh reference)) . You can also “Like” me on facebook, so long as you don’t unlike me later. I also have a myspace…and a formspring that nobody knows about. If you want to ask me questions on there, find my profile and ask away. We’ll see if i answer any of your questions though..

This is my new baby my girlfriend got me for my birthday :)
She found it in an antique store for a good price and picked it up. Turns out the meter didn’t work, and it leaked light to the max - could be why it was such a deal. I had to peal back the old black leatherette to access to the screws to remove the casing to get to the wiring of the meter (mouthful). Turned out there was some corrosion around the base of the (mercury) battery housing and on the wires. Once I cleaned that up the meter seemed to work great. I knew there would be light leaks due to the lack of foam sealing, but I shot a test roll after I fixed the meter to see how they were placed. Unfortunately, they weren’t artistic (read: “cliché”) enough for me to keep the seals the way they were, so I ordered a new foam kit for it on eBay. After cleaning out foam goo all afternoon from the film door, I replaced the seals and re-wrapped the body with a new, gray, leatherette I purchased from Camera Leather. Now she’s good as new! :]

I’ve been wanting to increase my film-usage lately. My girlfriend got me a cool Konica C35 for my birthday, which needed some fixing, but it has nonetheless been fun. Looks like the light meter is fixed now, but I’ll need to get light seals. I was anticipating light leaks - and I was going to leave them if they were “artsy” enough, but they just regular old light leaks - and lots of them - so I’ve just ordered a foam seal kit for it.
This photo was made with Canon A-1 w/ 50mm f/1.8 lens. Pretty standard. Hopefully I’ll have more film up soon.

I had been promising my sister that we could do some belly shots of her for a while now. Her husband is deployed, so she is living back home until a short while after the baby comes. She’s about ready to pop! She’s due mid-august.

I had the great privilege yesterday to shoot some photos for two friends of mine at their wedding! K&T were both fun and easy to work with..makes weddings as stress free as they can be! Had a full day of shooting - almost went through all of my CF cards - and have a lot of work to do now! Hopefully they will be as happy as I am with these.

This is a candid I had from some behind the scenes documentation I did of a friend’s senior film, LeRoy Carhart, Savior. In reaction to Vimeo’s previous deletion of the film, Peter writes, “LEROY IS BACK! Once deemed “too vitriolic for Vimeo” and guaranteed to “incite serious amounts of hate”, this controversial short film from student auteur Peter D Corning is now back online until someone in power sees it again! Watch now or miss it forever!”

I went out shooting with a good friend of mine last week for fun. Tryin out the new alien bee and just goofing off. She is in very much of my portfolio and was nice enough to write a “review,” of sorts, of my photography on her facebook :) Any free marketing is appreciated.
Here are a few of the images we got last week. I hope to fully tame the power my new B1600 puts out before I have too many more shoots. Should be fun.
